Description
The chocolate double-diamond dial appears on the Oyster bracelet too, and that build cuts the warmth off at the case. Everything above it stays brown and gold, and everything below reverts almost entirely to plain flat steel. It is a harder-edged version of a Datejust designed around softness, which is not what everyone wanted at the time. That is exactly why comparatively few of them were made and why the version is difficult to find today.
The 36 mm case is Stainless Steel with an Everose Gold bezel set with diamonds above it. Diamonds in gold settings mark the hours on a chocolate dial carrying no printed indices at all. The date sits at three under a Cyclops lens, and baton hands cross the sunray ground. Three-piece solid links form the Oyster bracelet, Everose Gold at the center, closing on a folding Oysterclasp with a comfort extension.
