Warranty Policy
At LuxuryTime, we stand behind the mechanical integrity and authenticity of every timepiece we curate. We understand that acquiring a luxury watch is an investment that requires long-term protection and assurance. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage, terms, and procedures for servicing your timepiece.
1. The Authenticity & Condition Guarantee
LuxuryTime guarantees that all unworn and pre-owned watches sold through our boutique are 100% genuine. Every watch manufacturer engraves or stamps an individual and unique serial number on their timepieces for identification and provenance. We guarantee that each watch we sell bears the original manufacturer’s serial number, intact and unaltered.
Unless otherwise specified in the product description, unworn watches will be delivered in their original presentation box and will include all manuals and documentation, excluding the manufacturer's warranty card or book. In circumstances where we are able to include the original manufacturer’s endorsed warranty documentation, the listing will clearly state: “ALL PAPERS INCLUDED.”
2. The LuxuryTime 3-Year Limited Warranty
For unworn timepieces, LuxuryTime generally provides a comprehensive three (3) year warranty from the date of purchase, unless stated otherwise in the specific product listing.
What is Covered: Our warranty covers malfunctions due to manufacturing defects, material defects, battery replacement, and water resistance failures, provided the watch has been utilized strictly within the manufacturer’s specified tolerances and regular use guidelines. During the warranty period, LuxuryTime will cover all necessary parts and labor, or replace the timepiece at our sole discretion.
3. Warranty Exclusions and Voiding Conditions
To maintain the validity of your LuxuryTime warranty, all servicing and repairs must be facilitated exclusively through our atelier.
- Unauthorized Servicing: Any timepiece opened, modified, or repaired by a third-party source without our explicit written consent will instantly and permanently void the LuxuryTime warranty.
- Wear and Tear: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches on the case, crystal, or bracelet, physical damage from impacts, or the natural degradation of leather, rubber, or fabric straps.
- Water Damage: Water damage resulting from user error (e.g., failure to fully screw down a crown before submersion) or exceeding the manufacturer's depth rating is not covered.
4. Manufacturer Warranty Provisions
When a watch is sold (either new/unworn or pre-owned) and is supplied with a dealer-stamped manufacturer’s warranty card, the balance of that factory warranty will remain in place based on the original activation date.
In these instances, the manufacturer's stated warranty supersedes the LuxuryTime warranty, and service should generally be handled directly between the consumer and the manufacturer's authorized repair network. However, should a client prefer to navigate warranty issues through our concierge desk, LuxuryTime will gladly assist in facilitating the manufacturer repair. If the factory warranty has expired, the LuxuryTime warranty will immediately take effect for the remainder of the stated period outlined in the item's description.
5. Service & Repair Procedures
In the unlikely event that your timepiece requires servicing during the warranty period, it must be returned to our facility. Upon inspection, if our master horologists determine that the required service is a fundamental correction (such as regulation or a battery change), the repair will be executed by our trusted network of independent watchmakers. These highly qualified professionals are often authorized repair centers for various high-end Maisons and are fully equipped to restore your timepiece to factory specifications.
6. Return Authorization and Shipping Protocols
To initiate a warranty claim, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to shipping the watch. Timepieces arriving at our facility without an authorized RMA number clearly displayed on the outer shipping box will be refused and returned to the sender.
- Shipping Costs: The client is responsible for covering all inbound shipping and insurance costs associated with returning the timepiece to LuxuryTime for warranty service.
- Courier Requirements: Returns must be shipped via a secure, fully traceable courier service. The shipment must be pre-paid and insured for the full replacement value of the watch. Collect shipping will be refused.
- Liability: LuxuryTime is not liable for loss or damages that occur while the timepiece is in transit to our repair facility.
