Payment Policy
Payment Policy
Transacting in high-value luxury goods requires an uncompromising approach to financial security. At LuxuryTime, we have implemented a secure, transparent payment infrastructure designed to protect both our clients and our inventory from fraudulent activity. This Payment Policy outlines our accepted payment methods, security protocols, and financial terms.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
To accommodate our global clientele, we offer several secure avenues for finalizing your acquisition. We strictly do not accept cash-on-delivery, personal checks, or direct digital wallet transfers (e.g., PayPal Friends & Family) to ensure buyer and seller protection.
- Major Credit & Debit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Card payments are subject to stringent address verification and 3D Secure authentication.
- Bank Wire Transfer: For timepieces exceeding certain value thresholds, we highly recommend or may mandate payment via bank wire transfer. This is the most secure method for high-ticket items. Wire instructions will be provided by your client advisor upon order confirmation.
2. Anti-Fraud & Security Verification
Given the highly targeted nature of luxury watches, we employ an advanced, multi-tiered fraud prevention system. By placing an order, you agree to comply with our security protocols.
If an order triggers a security flag, our compliance team may require additional verification before the order can be processed. This may include:
- A request for a high-resolution copy of a valid, government-issued photo ID.
- Proof of billing address (such as a recent utility bill) matching the payment method provided.
- A brief telephone verification call with a senior client advisor.
Failure to provide requested verification within 48 hours will result in the immediate cancellation of your order and the release of the allocated timepiece back into our public inventory.
3. Authorization Holds and Order Processing
When a purchase is made using a credit or debit card, an initial authorization hold is placed on your account to verify that funds are available. This is not a final charge.
The funds are only captured (settled) once your timepiece has successfully passed its final dispatch inspection and is handed over to our armored courier service. If your order is canceled prior to dispatch, the authorization hold will be voided. Please note that it may take your financial institution 3 to 7 business days to release the hold and reflect the available balance in your account.
4. Currency, Duties, and Taxes
All transactions processed through our boutique are billed in the primary currency displayed at checkout. If your financial institution operates in a different currency, the final amount charged may vary slightly based on the exchange rate applied by your bank, over which we have no control.
Prices listed on our website exclude international import duties, customs taxes, and localized value-added taxes (VAT) unless explicitly stated otherwise. The buyer assumes full responsibility for any applicable import duties or taxes levied by the destination country's customs authority. LuxuryTime will not falsify customs declarations or under-declare the value of a timepiece under any circumstances.
5. Wire Transfer Terms
When electing to pay via bank wire transfer, the timepiece will be reserved for a maximum of three (3) business days. If cleared funds are not received in our corporate account within this window, the reservation will be voided. We require clients to absorb all intermediary bank fees ensuring the exact invoice amount is credited to our account. Timepieces will only be dispatched once the wire transfer has fully cleared and settled.
