The 126201 puts Everose Gold on a Datejust 36 without committing the whole watch to it, which is precisely the compromise the two-tone format exists to make. Slate is arguably the dial that suits it best: dark enough to keep the pink gold from reading soft, and neutral enough not to compete with it. Rolex has moved the reference out of the current catalog, and slate was never among the configurations that announced themselves loudly.
A Stainless Steel case of 36 mm carries a domed Everose Gold bezel, with the date at three under a Cyclops lens. The slate dial has a sunray finish and applied hour markers that pick up the warmth of the gold. The Jubilee bracelet runs Stainless Steel outer links against Everose Gold center links, closing on a folding Oysterclasp with an extension. Case flanks are polished and the top surfaces brushed.
